I felt my feet slipping
Psalm 94
1 The Lord is a God who avenges.
O God who avenges, shine forth.
2 Rise up, Judge of the earth;
pay back to the proud what they deserve.
3 How long, Lord, will the wicked,
how long will the wicked be jubilant?
O God who avenges, shine forth.
2 Rise up, Judge of the earth;
pay back to the proud what they deserve.
3 How long, Lord, will the wicked,
how long will the wicked be jubilant?
4 They pour out arrogant words;
all the evildoers are full of boasting.
5 They crush your people, Lord;
they oppress your inheritance.
6 They slay the widow and the foreigner;
they murder the fatherless.
7 They say, “The Lord does not see;
the God of Jacob takes no notice.”
all the evildoers are full of boasting.
5 They crush your people, Lord;
they oppress your inheritance.
6 They slay the widow and the foreigner;
they murder the fatherless.
7 They say, “The Lord does not see;
the God of Jacob takes no notice.”
8 Take notice, you senseless ones among the people;
you fools, when will you become wise?
9 Does he who fashioned the ear not hear?
Does he who formed the eye not see?
10 Does he who disciplines nations not punish?
Does he who teaches mankind lack knowledge?
11 The Lord knows all human plans;
he knows that they are futile.
you fools, when will you become wise?
9 Does he who fashioned the ear not hear?
Does he who formed the eye not see?
10 Does he who disciplines nations not punish?
Does he who teaches mankind lack knowledge?
11 The Lord knows all human plans;
he knows that they are futile.
12 Blessed is the one you discipline, Lord,
the one you teach from your law;
13 you grant them relief from days of trouble,
till a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 For the Lord will not reject his people;
he will never forsake his inheritance.
15 Judgment will again be founded on righteousness,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.
the one you teach from your law;
13 you grant them relief from days of trouble,
till a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 For the Lord will not reject his people;

15 Judgment will again be founded on righteousness,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.
16 Who will rise up for me against the wicked?
Who will take a stand for me against evildoers?
17 Unless the Lord had given me help,
I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death.
18 When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me.
19 When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought me joy.
20 Can a corrupt throne be allied with you—
a throne that brings on misery by its decrees?
21 The wicked band together against the righteous
and condemn the innocent to death.
22 But the Lord has become my fortress,
and my God the rock in whom I take refuge.
23 He will repay them for their sins
and destroy them for their wickedness;
the Lord our God will destroy them.

A dear friend of ours was telling me before she had
surgery for Cancer that the Lord led her to read Psalms 94-19. Her
surgery went well and praise God for that! She will be going through
Chemo so our continued prayers are with her. When she was telling me
about this verse ..I was thinking that I to needed to take the time to
read it with what I was going through with my emotions. Sometimes as a
Christian I question myself. When things start to feel overwhelming and
my anxiety is high why do I allow the enemy to come in? Why aren’t I
strong enough or wise enough at times to realize the enemies intention
and not allow him that control over me? It is at those times I know
that I need to call upon our lord and draw upon the strength that has
been given to me to get through the hard times and know he will keep me
steady just as it says in verse 18-19 of Psalms. When it is all said
and done I do realize that we are tested and it has been stated God will
allow us to bend but he wont allow us to break. It shows me even when I
get frustrated with myself and that I know better than to allow myself
to react in a manner that doesn’t glorify God I still have so much more
growing to do. Our heavenly Father is whom I want to please not the
enemy and I get tired at times of the enemy enjoying playing havoc on
peoples lives. For each test we are given and know matter where we are
in our walk with God we all have our areas within ourselves we need to
work on but the greatest part of it all is that we aren’t alone we are
shown our weakness things that we need to work on but it is done in
love. When we aren’t walking on the right path God will shake us up
even with his wrath for us to open our eyes and realize we are not of
the world we are Christians his child. His word his laws don’t change
so we should never give up even when others come against us for how we
handle situations and the enemy is having a field day within us putting
on that armor will help us in the battle against the enemy.
