Our All

Genesis 16:2, : "And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai."

The Lord will provide us what we need. We need only to wait on Him. And if we need the wherewithal to wait on Him, He shall indeed provide that as well. We can ask God to give us wisdom, strength, understanding, love, etc. We can then encounter a situation wherein we expect to see such things emerge from us. We can then become disappointed when we don't see what we expect and then take matters into hand. Or we can say, "I have asked God for these things, and I know He will provide. I will wait for Him." When Abraham and Sarah did not see God's promise fulfilled, they took matters into their own hands. We too face many situations wherein we do the same. But through eyes of faith, we can ask God for the things we know we need, knowing God is faithful. And so we ask. And we wait. And when a situation arises, we can say, "God has already provided, I'm just allowing Him to do so in His time, and without interference from me."

You Are Worthy

You Are Worthy

Don’t see yourself as insignificant,
Not worthy to come before God
Fearing the stains are too deep to clean
From the sins you’re guilty of
And don’t feel as though you’re not worthy
To dine at His table of grace
Nor even to gather the scraps that fall
Nor look into His loving face

But see yourself clothed in garments
Fit only to clothe a king
Eating as His honoured guest
And wearing His signet ring
For that is how God sees you
A worthy child indeed
A royal priesthood, bearing His name
The moment you came to believe

For surely as Christ’s blood has washed you,
You shall be whiter than snow,
So don’t see yourself as someone unworthy,
A tiny speck nobody knows
For that only belittles the value
Of Jesus Christ’s spilled blood
For it’s through His blood he’s cleansed you
And showed you how much He loved

He says, ‘My child you are precious
More than you can comprehend
For nothing you’ve done could lessen my love
For I’d always call you my friend,
My heart just longs for you to come
And bask in my embrace,
My child I will always love you
And pour out my mercy and grace

So don’t feel afraid to draw near
Nor feel you have no worth,
My son’s blood has purchased you
And has given you new birth
So come, enjoy my presence
And let me hear you sing
The new song I have given you
For to me, you are everything’.

Time is drawing near…by Melissa Parker

Time is drawing near…by Melissa Parker

A More Excellent Way

A More Excellent Way

2 Corinthians 5:17, KJV: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

Raised within the world around us, we learn how to respond to life much as anyone else in the world does. But when we come to Christ, we are made new. We begin to grow away from our old ways, and grow to become more like Christ. As we grow to be more like Him, we begin to respond to troubles, crisis, pains, and problems in a manner that is as Christ would. We are no longer to respond as those without Christ would respond, but we are to find within God all that is needed to find a more excellent way--His way. In Romans 12:2, Paul writes, "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." It is not an indictment to backslidden Christians, but a word of encouragement to all Christians. The life that is in you now is true life--Life from God. The greatest joy you will know is when you can relinquish the old ways, in favor of the wondrous ways that emanate from an incredible, new life in Jesus Christ.

Audio Bible Lessons at Our Christian Walk In Faith website

Grandparents..Lillian Penner

Spiritual warfare is intense today as our grandchildren are growing up in the midst of a culture that is morally and spiritually depraved.
When our grandchildren are growing up in this world, just a scratch can contaminate them and grow into a major spiritual battle. Our younger grandchildren face temptations of lying, cheating, disobedience to parents, etc. Our teenage and young adult grandchildren need protection, as they tend to push the boundaries of a godly lifestyle. The devil is deceptive and he tries to distract them from walking with the Lord.
I often hear grandparents talking about their concern for their grandchildren growing up in our troubled world and the morally depraved culture they are inheriting. As grandparents, we cannot protect our grandchildren in school and their various activities.
However, we can pray our grandchildren will:
  • Invite Jesus Christ into their heart and experience the adventure of a full, purposeful, and fruitful life.
  • Guard their hearts and be aware of God’s presence with them.
  • Recognize the deception and evil in this world.
  • Be strong in their faith so they can resist the enemy.
  • See themselves as God sees them full of promise, possibility, and potential.
We can also ask God to:
  • Shower our grandchildren with blessings that exceed our dreams.
  • Place a hedge of protection over our children and grandchildren physically, emotionally and spiritually each day.
Melissa ‘s Thoughts..
I really enjoyed reading this article as a grandparent.  Our grand children are a gift from God and rather they are biological grand children or not we are to love them the same.  In our world today as a grandparent we are facing the battle of our own children as non believers  raising there children to not know the Lord.  We are to respect our grand children’s parents even when it goes against what we believe.  But we still have the opportunity to plant those seeds within our grandchildren by conducting ourselves with a Christ like heart.
Our continued prayers for our grandchildren and even there parents are so important.  It may not be in our time that they come to know Christ but we must believe and have faith that it will happen.  Just because your grandchildren may not be showing examples or desires of knowing Christ doesn’t mean God isn’t working within them.  Consistent righteous living makes the greatest impact of all teaching methods.

Proverbs 17:6-Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.
