Love One Another

Gods Love

Love One Another

1John 3:16-17
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.  And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.  If anyone has materiel possessions and sees his brothers in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?
In Church Sunday our message was on Bold Faith & True Love.  As Christians do we take the time to express with our actions the love we have for our brothers and sisters?  We are each different and unique created by God but the one thing that he did instill in us is the ability to show love.
Rather it be in Church, Friends, Relationships ects. we all have our own differences and may not always agree with what another person has said.  Feelings could be hurt but in that moment we make a choice to either react in anger or bitterness and lash back or turn the other cheek and pray for them.  It is in our actions and how we respond to someone that has hurt us that defines who we are as Christians.  It is having the Christ like heart and always reminding ourselves we are not of the world we are children of God.
As Christians we are to love our brother and sisters it isn’t about how we see the world but how the world sees us ..our actions what we speak.  What it means to be a Christian and believe in the love he has for us and the sacrifice of his only begotten son for us ..our sins.
1John 4:7-10
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.  Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.  Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us.  He sent his one and only Son. into the world that we might live through him.  This is love: not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
It does not matter how much you make what vehicle you drive or the clothes you wear that does not define you as a Christian.  Each one of us have dealt with our own  trials and tribulations and we each our called upon to help each other and love one another.  Your bank account or material possessions mean nothing to God.  It is our heart, works, faith the love we show to one another as commanded by God.  The world is not about Bold Faith & True Love .  When standing in the isle at the grocery store we have the perfect opportunity to show our Christ like heart even if its just asking someone how there day is going.  Could lead them to tell you something about themselves.  Extend your heart, a smile, prayer, hug our actions speak volumes and we may not know the difference we made in them through Christ but God does and all the glory goes to him.
1John 4:12
No one has ever seen God; but if we love each other God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

Forgiving Others

Bitterness is its own prison.  The sides are slippery with resentment.  A floor of muddy anger stills the feet.  The stench of betrayal fills the air and stings the eyes.  A cloud of self pity blocks the view of the tiny exit above.
Step in and look at the prisoners.  Victims are chained to the walls.  Victims of betrayal.  Victims of abuse.  The dungeon, deep and dark is  beckoning you to enter..You can, you know.  You’ve experienced enough hurt.
You can choose, like many, to chain yourself to your hurt..Or you can choose, like some to put away your hurts before they come hate.

How does God deal with your bitter heart? He reminds you that what you have is more important than what you don’t have.  You still have your relationship with God.  No one can take that.

Be kind and loving to each other and forgive each other just as God forgave you.
